US- TDA signs a letter of interest – August 27, 2008
The United States Trade and Development Agency, also known as USTDA signs a letter of interest in support of Hillsdale Group's Tamorkhola 500 MW Hydro Power Storage Project in Nepal.

USTDA expects a sole source proposal from Hillsdale Group on a cost sharing basis to conduct the feasibility study of the project.

USTDA understand the importance of the electricity as a building block of economic growth, and therefore power projects are at the core of USTDA's program. Furthermore, Tamorkhola project would be an important trade capacity building activity for Nepal, involving energy cooperation with India.
